The Political Theme covers a wide variety of subjects - politicians
running for office, politicians already in office, past presidents,
political events, etc. - the cigar box was also used to make a statement
in the form of political satyr as this ©1874 Heppenheimer-Maurer
illustrates above - I don't have a clue what the jest of this cartoon
was but the imagery is wonderful.
